This course teaches what every educator should know about Artificial Intelligence. AI is a fast-moving technology with impacts and implications for both our individual lives and society as a whole. In this course, educators will get a basic introduction to the building blocks and components of artificial intelligence, learning about concepts like algorithms, machine learning, and neural networks. Participants will also explore how AI is already being used, and evaluate problem areas of AI, such as bias. The course also contains a balanced look at AI’s impact on existing jobs, as well as its potential to create new and exciting career fields in the future. Those taking this course will leave the course with a solid understanding of what AI is, how it works, areas of caution, and what they can do with the technology. 45 CEU hours or (optional 3 Graduate Credits for additional $165 paid after course begins to ASU)

Designing Blended Learning – Anytime and Anyplace equips participants to design and implement effective blended learning environments. It focuses on using blended learning to support standards-based teaching while fostering collaboration in an online setting. Participants will explore teaching strategies to personalize learning, promote critical thinking, address integrity issues, and effectively use instructional tools within an online course management system. By the end of the course, participants will develop a plan to integrate these elements into their blended classrooms.
Show Me the Money: Write Winning Grants teaches educators how to write competitive grants to secure school funding. Participants will learn to locate grants, write Foundation proposals, and gather required documents. The information, resources, and strategies will help educators use their newly acquired grant writing skills to bring “free money” to their school.
Issues and Trends in Today’s Education Leadership focuses on exploring school leadership in today’s technology-driven world. Participants engage in discussions about best practices, leadership behaviors, and strategies to better support teachers. It begins with a history of education and how blended, adaptive, and personalized learning are emphasized in the delivery of student learning in today’s world. It explores new and emerging technologies, along with their current and future impact on education. Throughout this online course, participants will explore a wide range of possibilities in the education field, how it is developing, and evaluate both the promises and pitfalls of technology in education.
Assessment in 21st Century Classrooms is an engaging course designed to explore modern assessment practices tailored to 21st-century teaching and learning. Teachers learn how to plan, develop, and manage student-centered assessments while discovering how these strategies enhance teaching and student learning. The course features examples from three teachers using embedded and ongoing assessments, along with interactive action-planning exercises to help participants apply these concepts effectively.
It’s TIME to Get Organized is designed for educators, focusing on the importance of creating and implementing an organizational plan to ensure a successful school year. The course provides practical strategies for managing personal spaces, classroom setups, and mobile learning environments. It includes optional reading resources to enhance learning throughout the course.
Project-Based Approaches helps teachers explore the characteristics and benefits of Project-Based Learning (PBL) through classroom scenarios. Teachers follow a new PBL teacher learning strategies from a mentor while reflecting on their own practices. Modules focus on planning and designing projects, organizing curriculum, classrooms, and students for learning, and strategies for assessing students’ 21st-century skills in open-ended projects.
Project Management Toolkit for Teachers offers best practices, essential skills, and a variety of tools to help teachers and administrators integrate project management strategies into project-based learning. Participants will learn to design customizable project-based templates for instruction, ensuring practical and adaptable solutions for their classrooms.
Becoming a Facilitating Teacher in Today’s World is designed to help teachers enhance their facilitation skills for online and blended learning environments. The course explores creating successful learning communities, promoting collaboration, and improving instructional techniques. It integrates free web-based tools and strategies for incorporating mobile devices to support teaching and learning. Participants engage in individual and collaborative activities, reflecting on and applying course concepts. The final project involves creating an Activity Plan that synthesizes learning and applies tools and strategies to future online facilitation efforts.
